Run 4 Their Lives

The annual Run 4 Their Lives race was today. It was rainy and cold but we ran anyway!! Elle was a trooper. She ran the 1k with Grammy. She made it nearly half-way and asked Grammy to hold her. But she finished strong on her own : ) I am one proud Momma!

Surprise

John came home from work a little early yesterday and took Elle with him to run some errands. Ezra was napping and I was enjoying my free hour sitting on the couch with a new book when John and Elle came home with this “surprise” . . .
John took Elle to the pet store to look at the puppies and decided to bring home a gerbil. I won’t discuss the thoughts that went through my head or the words that came out of my mouth (because honestly, I don’t remember) when they walked in the door. Let’s just say that Elle has not stopped asking, “Why do you not like my gerbil, Mom? Why do you not want him to live with us?”
This morning, Elle decided that “Gerb” is a girl and named her Christina. She loves the thing but refuses to hold it. She pushes this box around and is perfectly happy with it not touching her : )
I really don’t know what we’re going to do with it. John suggested letting it run free in the backyard. With Elle shaking the box all the time who knows if we’ll get to that.

Elle loves putting on lipstick/chapstick. Her Grammy brought her a pack of “Princess” chapstick a few weeks ago. I should have guessed this would eventually happen . . .
Four Months

I cannot believe Ezra is nearly four and a half months.
I’m a little bit crazy about this guy! He is so sweet!
Sometimes we think he looks like Megamind. Like in this picture . . .
We did call Elle Gus-Gus when she was this age . . .
Our little “Gus” is almost 3!!!
She loves to cook with me. The other day, I was cooking some beef and adding garlic to it. She went into her room and came back with her pan, meat, and garlic and cooked at the stove with me : )
